Ocean 7 Banner
As part of its campaign for Ocean Literacy, NEOSEC developed a six-foot tall stand-alone banner depicting the seven Ocean Literacy Principles, which is now installed in nine New England institutions, including the Mystic Aquarium in Mystic CT, Project Oceanology in Groton CT, University of Rhode Island’s Coastal Institute in Narragansett, the Ocean Explorium in New Bedford MA, BOAT CAMP in Newburyport MA, Seacoast Science Center in Rye NH, New Hampshire Sea Grant at UNH, Gulf of Maine Research Institute in Portland ME, and Maine Coastal Program in Augusta ME. Partners estimate that more than 950,000 people will pass by the banners in an average year.
